Serial mouse hangs after Windows 95 hardware detection due to serial card.

Cause:

The serial card being used, VITEX RS232 (HMC83451) has two serial ports and one printer port. The addressing scheme used by the VITEX RS232 card detects COM1 as a printer port.

Solution:

Replace the RS232 (HMC83451) serial card with a Windows 95 serial card or with the VITEX RS232 (HMC83450) card, which does not include a printer port.
NOTE: The VITEX RS232 (HMC83451) serial card has been discontinued and replaced by the VITEX RS232 (HMC83450) serial card.
